    Very pleasant and great price!

This place was such a luxury at the end of three months backpacking. Cosy little bungalow, spacious and clean room, nice porch with hammock and pretty garden and hot water (my personal favourite) all for 10$ a night! If you can haggle a bit you can get a fantastic bargain in low season. Good location just back from the beach in long beach village. Very nice family running it. The sister was a bit pushy with trying to sell me things, especially the motorbikes, but be firm and patient and you'll be fine! The breakfasts are nice enough but overpriced, you're better off going to bao quy down the lane to the beach for a filling good value meal, all their food is delicious!
Overall I had a very pleasant, comfortable and relaxing stay, made better by the absolute bargain of a price!
An ok bungalow place in Phu Quoc

Three of us stayed here for two night and then two of us moved to a smaller bungalow for an extra night. The prices are OK but you have to bargain. The family running the business is nice and friendly but really incompetent (they were supposed to book ticket to Cambodia for us but they announced us that there was a problem and we have to book them by ourself one hour before departure).

We stayed here for 11 nights (to 18th March) & it was truly the prettiest room, garden area we'd encountered in all of Vietnam (been here 2 months now starting in Hanoi so we've seen a number of comparable places).
The rooms are superbly well appointed - tv, a/c, big bed (a bit hard!), fan, mozzie net, VERY hot shower (solar heated/photovoltaic) in semi-outdoor surrounds & a large balcony with hammock! The only downside was lack of kettle for those morning brews - very small point!
The place is set amongst a peaceful, superbly planted & sympathetically lanscaped garden.
There are some great restaurants nearby - especially the local run one down the bottom of the lane on the way to the beach! Don't miss out on the Ganesh curry house either - simply irresistable & it will enhance your stay!
The French owner's Vietnamese wife, who runs the place, & her sister are adorable - very helpful with anything you could ask for (i.e thermos for those morning brews!).
Highly recommended - book early - possibly email to get a super deal for a longer stay if you have the time!
    Nice & quiet

Stayed her for $12 per night. It is a 10 minute walk from the beach. The room had a very powerful fan and was not hot. There is also a bar fridge supplied. It is 3.3km from town and 1.5km to the supermarket where you can buy water for 8000. The room was big and the bed was comfortable. I hired a scooter for 160 per day. She tried to tell me on the street they are 200 but i know i could get one for 150. She also supplied it with fuel for 120. I saw at the end of the day one of the workers syphoning out left over fuel and putting back into the container to sell to the next customer. She tried to tell me that snorkelling on phu quoc island is better than Australia and anywhere else. Somehow i cannot imagine it being better than the great barrier reef. Lol she also tried to sell me massage and hair removal. The power was turned off during the day, but yet the wifi was still working. Hmmmm don't depend on the atm's nearby. I had to walk halfway into town to find one that was turned on. The bungalows have a balcony and a hammock. There are other places to eat nearby and other places to book onward transport and tours. Overall i liked the place and would stay again.
A short stay in Phu Quok

As I hadn't booked accommodation for me and my girlfriend we went on the recommendation of the motorbike taxi guy. We booked the first night in the older section, which is pictured in Trip Ad. The bed was quite hard, but air con worked ok. There was a small fridge but no TV. this room cost us about $US20. The next two nights we moved rooms to the newer section and liked the room very much. Room was a little bigger, bigger fridge, satellite TV and a really nice Asian style bathroom This room was $25 a night. A good price seeing it is close to a clean beach.
    little disappointed

This place is in a good location and a reasonable price ($20) however the beds are rock hard the pillows are also rock hard and way to thick. Our air conditioner did not work properly and the bin had not been emptied from the previous visitors. Despite that, the room was a very good size with a bar fridge and the lady that runs it was very nice and friendly.

    Beds too hard

We walked in and paid 20 USD for room w AC and hot water. It had mosquito net over the bed but beds were so hard, the hardest ones we've had during our SEA 3 month trip. So we moved out the next day. Breakfast is not included and it was bad. When ordering noodle soup we got instant noodles. Coffee is not your usual tasty strong Vietnamese. Power was out for around 1 hour every night on Phu Quoc and this hotel does not have a back up generator.

My boyfriend and I got here and paid $13 for a brand new bungalow!!! It was incredible! The best place we've stayed whilst backpacking SE Asia! We loved it so much we stayed for another 3 nights!
Nga, the complex owner, is a lovely hospitable and helpful woman that will remind you of your mum.

We also rented a scooter from them and arranged transport back to the mainland through them.

The bungalows are a 2min walk to Long Beach.

There is a convenience store on site and a restaurant, although this only serves breakfast.

    I would 100% recommend this accommodation :)
Some good but a lot of bad

Kind of a mixed bag and disappointing. The family running the place were great, friendly and helpful. The location and the grounds are also decent. Breakfast was great.
On the other hand, the level of upkeep and quality of facilities are shockingly bad. Rooms lack basic equipment and furnishings. We had to keep our clothes on the extra bed, as there was no wardrobe. The mosquito netting was ripped in several places. Everything was just kind of broken. The toilet emitted an extremely unpleasant odour, like rotting seafood.
These are things that are easily fixable, but it seems no one at the hotel was interested.
The regular power outages were a real downer.
