    Great experience

Iconic place on the top of a hill from which you have a fantastic view. Infinite pool and very nice restaurant. Breakfast amazing and kind staff.
Only one catch.. Differently from other hotels in vietnam they did not asked us for the transfer from the bus station when we booked it.
Since the bus service does not bring customer up to its hill, the result had been climbing with our backpacks. Nice but hard at 7pm in the darkness.
I do not give 5 stat only for this reason.
    Pure tranquility mountain resort

We love all things & services in this nice resort. Due to the number of guests are limited , the breakfast is simple. However, we are all quite pleased at the romantic dinners where we can enjoy the fresh air & cool wind of Sam Mountain. We will visit there again.
Though the swimming pool is a little bit small, swimmer can enjoy a wonderful view overlooking the green rice fields and the Cam Mountain far behind the horizon.
    What a great hotel!

Set up high on the Sam Mountain, we had a great stay here. The rooms are spot on - decent bed - excellent shower with loads of water pressure, would certainly blow your wig off, good food all in great surroundings. The views from the hotel are magnificent. Service was super - really top notch. Very impressed.
One night or two that's the question?
    |

We stayed here for two nights and the big question is whether you need two or is one enough. It depends on when you arrive, we had travelled up the Mekong from Saigon so didn't get here till 7 and so didn't get to see the fantastic view and sunset that we did get to see on day two. The problem with staying two days is there isn't much to do, it is far away from anywhere which is a plus point but also a negative in terms of doing things. We walked up to the top of Sam mountain which was quite hot and not particularly worth it, although the pagoda just above the hotel is worth doing, we did lots of swimming and did an afternoon tour.
The staff are lovely but a bit inexperienced, it is a training hotel, and sometimes getting clear information from them was hard work.
The hotel is certainly worth going to but you do need to think carefully about how long for.
    Great hotel with beautiful view

Overlooking the Forbidden Mountain (Nui Cam), beautiful paddy fields, sunset & sunrise view. This hotel is located at Sam Mountain (Nui Sam). Room was clean and each one of them has its own terrace. Not to mention about the infinity pool and good food served. Staffs were kind, helpful, and always put a smile on their face. Location is good if you have your own transport. We rented a bike from other place at downhill. We travelled with the bike to the various pagoda and temples nearby. Also, all the way (35 km) to Nui Cam and Tra Su Bird Sanctuary. It was about 40 mins ride but the journey is an experience which you should not missed where you passed through small village, countryside view, and rides around Tra Su Forest. Something you would not have experienced sitting in a car or taking a tour.

Just some small notes about the hotel:
    1. The provide shuttle from Victoria Chau Doc to Victoria Nui Sam. Check the fixed timing.
    2. Tried to get your food at the restaurant before sunset to avoid mosquito attack.
Excellent view, good rooms and service.

Service and quality of the room was a bit less than we had at Victoria Can Tho which was excellent. But overall good experience, good dinner and excellent view (you can see Cambodia) from the restaurant and swimming pool. Road to hotel is being modernized because of big building plans on the hill the hotel is located.

We had a "sunny hill" room which consisted of a room with a double bed, a bathroom and a connected small room (with own toilet) with single bed. Because we were with a family of four, we had an extra bed put in the small room for 330k VND extra.
    Amazing Views, reasonably priced

We stayed here for 2 nights before getting the boat up to Phnom Penh and really enjoyed our stay. Being low season there was only about 6 people in the whole resort which made for a very peaceful experience.

Rooms were very nice, shower was great, highly recommended. Pool was really nice. WiFi was a good speed for uploading photos/watching netflix. Food was a bit pricey for Vietnam but very high quality. Bikes were good quality for cycling down and around the mountain.

All in all would highly recommend if you're going through Chau Doc.

Top tip; if you're arriving by bus into Chau Doc, you should get a free transfer to the town. Get them to take you to Victoria hotel in the city. There's then a free shuttle that runs up to Nui Sam.
Top notch experience, stunning views, luxury in an interesting location

Training hotel for other luxury Victoria hotels so you get amazing value. Every room has a private balcony and perfect views. Breakfast is awesome as is dining area. Rooms are perfect. Could have hung out at the pool all day every day but ventured up Sam Mountain for a hot but satisfying walk to the top where there is a shrine and local tourists on pilgrimages year round. Don't skip the village surrounding. Its super interesting with amazing food, shopping and astonishing pagodas. Not a lot of foreign tourists which made it even more appealing.
    Breathtakingly beautiful!

Set in the side of the Sam Mountain, above Chau Doc near the VietNam Cambodia border...what a spectacular location for this stunning lodge and the friendly caring & helpful staff are so very special. My mother and I were treated like royalty from the moment we arrived....the rooms are lovely with everything you could possibly want, & with our own outdoor area & splendid view.
The food & drinks were delicious...we loved everything about this very unique location. If visitors to this area have an opportunity to stay here, then don't miss it, it is indeed very special...a quiet retreat especially for those who appreciate nature, and viewing the surrounding terrain.
    Beautiful but lots of steps!

Stayed only 1 night, but could have stayed longer. The hotel is built on top of a hill overlooking the plains. It's more a lodge/resort style with the rooms in individual blocks & layered down the hillside. The pool overlooks the plains as well. There are apparently a couple hiking trails around the hill. Would note that the hotel is pretty far away from the nearest village so isn't for anyone looking to stay near civilization. Also- the local police have recently introduced a toll to drive up the mountain, so keep that in mind.
