I booked her because of the location and paid around 40GBP for 2 nights. The pictures on TA looked nice and rooms looked modern. The rooms are decorated nicely however everything is looking tired and not to mention covered in some sort of sticky grease. The room is filthy and last night I spent half the night swatting cockroaches that seemed to be pouring out of various small holes in the skirting boards- the other half I had nightmares of them crawling on me so overall not a great nights sleep. Add to the cockroaches, the ants which cover the bathroom sink and floor and the dust which was settled on the bed sheets this hotel seriously needs to re-look at their housekeeping practices as something isn't working. I'm writing this as I'm packing as needless to say I am not staying for my 2nd night..... you've been warned. I understand you get what you pay for and this place was pretty cheap but every hotel basics should be that its clean.
    Left dissapointed

We stayed here for 4 nights and was thoroughly disappointed with the hotel - we paid about $55 aud a night after negotiation. We were desperate as the original hotel we walked into only had rooms for 2 night and we needed 4 night stay as we were in hcmc for a wedding and didn't want to move hotels halfway through.

First impression - looks clean like any other 3 star hotel. Good location - few min from cho ben thanh and plenty of taxi in the front.

Room - cramp and small. Wasn't not able to open our med size luggage. Had to move a chair out of the room to allow one suitcase to open... We changed room first time as aircon was not working after we were in the room for 20min and it was 35deg outside. Second time was slightly better but the ac still took about 15min before the room became cool. The hotel only allowed one electronic key so as soon as you left the room the ac is no longer on and when you return you'll have to wait another 15min before the room get slightly cool again....bathroom small and cramp. No individual amenities - used my own shampoo and body wash because the pump with generic amenities was broken.

Customer service - lacking!!! We forgot out key in the room and asked reception to let us in the next day and they were shocked and couldn't believe that we dis it because the ac was on for half a day.... Whatttt the??? Hit and miss with the bellboys willingness to help me with the luggage and door.. So we didn't tip any of them. Asked reception for a plate and knife to cut some fruits - she referred me onto the bellboy who then gave me a wet plate and a massive knife from a previous customer who used it to cut tapes for luggage and wasn't all dirty and sticky. Told me to clean it and it should be fine... Ummm unhygienic much? Then told me to ask housekeeping then.. Lucky the housekeeping girls were very friendly. Sorry i forgot to tip you! I didn't want to leave it in the room for the receptionist or bellboy to keep for themselves.

Overall will not return. Plenty of places to stay few doors up and down!!!
    Time traveller

I recently stayed in this hotel. In short stay away. The room was infestedwith cockroaches. The cleaning staff were hopeless not once did they change the glasses. when i complained reception staff were rude crude and indifferent. I moved next door to the Luxe hotel totally amazing like chalk and cheese to the white 1 hotel.

Staffs are very accomodating, friendly and helpful . Our rooms included with breakfast, serve various delicious selection. Rooms are clean and neat. They also recommended us to a professional tour guide. Walking distant to Ben Than market. Very convenient.
A safe and trusted choice for a brief stay in central Saigon

Swift and considerate service at 2am. Compact but well designed and well fitted room with clean, trendy furniture. Offered a very good breakfast. Overall I am happy with the experience here even though it was less than 24 hours.
    Convenient location, good service

Only had one night in this hotel. The room is compact but clean and bright. I believe the rooms are all different so you should specify if you want a window (with or without view), if you prefer shower or bath with shower. Not much space to move around the room but then I only needed a clean room with a comfortable bed and a hot shower, and it ticks all the boxes.

I found the hotel staff to be friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast isn't much to shout about but I don't think great cuisine is the hotel's selling point. Conveniently located, you are a few minutes walk away from Ben Thanh Market (and night market). A few more minutes will take you to Saigon Square for more bargains and just further on, you get to the more touristy (and upmarket) Dong Khoi for designer label shopping.

Lots of food places of various cuisines nearby, and especially Malaysian and Singapore restaurants with most of the Malaysian restaurants serving halal food for Muslims.

Good hotel if shopping (and eating) are on your itinerary.
    Not as expected

Been there in December 2014. Book through airlines package. 1st of all the location tag in the map was not accurate, even the one tag in this trip advisor. Luckily it was not too far as anticipated.

1st room checked in was bad. Room was small, smelly and small toilet too. 2nd day we move to another room with the same rate and it was totaly different - bigger room, cupboard and toilet. Wifi is good. Housekeeping staff was good too.

Overall it would not be my 1st choice, but if there's minimum option then this hotel con be consider.
    Bad Experience- CAUTION!!!!!!!!!!!

Booked for a 10 day stay from 30/10/14 to 9/11/14.On the 6/11 and 7/11 nights I stayed at my friends apartment.Returned on 8/11 to hotel room at around midday.Went to unlock the room safe, and when I opened it my money of AUD1500 was missing.I had put and locked the money along with my Ipad, camera, gold chain and passport for safe keeping,so I thought!.My Ipad, camera, gold chain and passport were all there except for the money which had been stolen.Mind you, I had punched in my own security code to lock the safe,so no one could open the safe ,except hotel security staff,in an emergency, like one forgot one's security code.Anyway, I will never ever stay or recommend this hotel to anyone.
Great location. But getting worn out..

Loved this hotel when I first stayed 2 years ago. Like with most small hotels, it's lagging in maintenence and thinfs ate starting to look worn. Mattress is saggy and pillows are soft and lumpy.
Hot water did not work fir me for the first three nights despite me speaking to the front desk abt it every morning
Location is great. But for the price you should be able to get better accommodation with better facilities in the same area.
Not value for the money, you can do better for the price

There is 3 white hotels in Saigon, White Hotel 1, White Hotel 2 and of course if you didn't guess White Hotel 3. We booked 2 deluxe rooms at the White Hotel 1, 1 double and 1 twin. When we got there they said they were full and gave us 1 extremely small room with a double and a bigger room with a double and a fold out bed. She even said at reception that they won't charge us more for the fold out, even though we booked a twin. Both people ended up sleeping uncomfortable in the double bed as the fold out bed was very saggy with springs in your back. The rooms were clean and bed comfortable. There was a computer in the room and our fridge was not working. The room 101 (which is a deluxe double) is the same size as the VIP rooms. There is no difference. The only thing with the VIP rooms is you get a couch and an actual view out your window of the road. Don't pay the extra it is not worth the money. The price difference between superior and deluxe again is the window. The room is exactly the same. Rooms were left open after house keeping cleaned them so we were able to see the different rooms. In room 101 there is no shower, only a bath. There is a nozzle so standing in the bath trying to shower was very different. Looking at the hotel on the outside, level 1 has absolutely no views, either side is aisle and front is a billboard (their hotel sign). We did book through an online booking agent. I have heard in the past when you do this they may put you in the worst rooms or shaft you. I think this is what happened here. The photos are extremely misleading, as the rooms you book look nothing like the photos displayed. Breakfast was good. We felt sorry for the only staff member running around. Poor thing was trying to do everything, clear, stock up and cook. Staff were friendly and the location was good. I would recommend somewhere else. Get more for your money.
