    Toilet plumbing was terrible

My rooms toilet smelt of urine. I stayed for just one night. After a busy day of walking the hills, i came back to my room to notice the stench, but i was too tired to ask for a change of room and decided to close the toilet door and sleep the night theough.

    I left the following day.
Only bonus point was that the room had a nice view.

    Second time around

I first visited the hotel when it was opened in 2012 and this time around I brought a group of 24 students to do community service in Sapa. The check-in was pretty quick and the service quite efficient - this can be seen the times when we had to request the staff to open rooms because the students left their key card inside. Strangely, the hotel was unable to give each room 2 keycards which would have been more convenient. The rooms were large enough and clean, possessing all the basic amenities. The unfortunate thing is that my room lacked a reading lamp which meant that when my colleague was asleep, I could not do any work. The temperature control of the taps needs a bit of waiting before the water would warm up. None of my students had any complaints. The beds were comfortable though I found the pillow lumpy.
Breakfast was satisfactory; we found that meat in Sapa tends to be quite tough and the food on the salty side. There was some effort to change the menu during the 4 days we were there. The view from the restaurant was a very pleasant one especially during early morning.
There is a small lap pool which I did not use. There were two basic gym equipment next to the pool.
The good thing about the hotel was the central location with a lot of food outlets nearby.
One unfortunate incident happened on the last day; a student reported that her wallet had been emptied of its content and let in the toilet with the window ajar. Looking out, it was obvious that the room could be easily accessed as the room was on the 2nd floor. There was also the possibility that someone used a key card to enter the room. Anyway, the hotel offered no compensation. We were advised by the local guide that getting an official police report was very difficult, even though we needed it for insurance purposes. Other than this incident, the stay was uneventful.
    Better than expected!

We booked this hotel after reading a very mixed range of reviews on TA and were a little trepidatious about our choice. We were pleased that we took a chance as the hotel has been better than expected. Our room was spacious and was cleaned daily. We had a great view of the mountains and it was lovely to open the windows and have a breeze blow through. Breakfast was plentiful and lots of choice. We were given complimentary bottled water and fresh bananas every day. There was always hot water, but it did sometimes take a few moments to get a steady temperature in the shower. Reception staff spoke good English. The hotel is easy walking distance from the bus station and close to a wide range of restaurants and shops. WiFi worked well. We stayed 4 nights & were happy with all aspects of our stay. We did not use any tour arrangements from the hotel as we found our way around ourselves.
    Pleasant surprise!

Although nestled in a small pocket off the road this hotel is immaculately presented inside. The beds are very very comfortable and I'd guess the room I was in had been freshly made over. The plumbing was questionable. It flushed away but there was a lingering sewerage smell. The breakfast was fine, nothing exciting, but the location very good for walking. Somewhat noisy but all in all a pleasant stay. Wifi seemed only to work during business hours...

This was an okay hotel, I would not stay here again. The breakfast was disappointing and did not have much of a western variety. The shower areas were not very clean and the linen was very worn. We were on the 4th floor facing the street and the mountains and it was soooo noisy with the restaurant below. Sapa itself is amazing and we enjoyed our visits to the rice fields. The location of the hotel is a bonus, but based on the other hotels we stayed in this was not of the same standard. The hotel has a pool, but I would not swim in it, there is no filter working and it is only half full.
    Great meals!

I was impressed with the food that they had to offer here, chefs cooking up your eggs and noodle in front of you.
We stayed at many hotels and this wasn't one of our greatest, hot water system is very dodgy freezing one minute to scolding the next. After a long 20km trek through Sapa we needed a relaxing massage so we booked for later that night, my husband and myself were together the ladies were talking between themselves a lot, to the point that one of them stopped while she was talking. This was not at all relaxing and they didn't know how to massage properly either.
The front desk ladies were not very welcoming and for the first time in Vietnam I felt like a foreigner not family.

Located in the centre of Sapa town. Big room, big comfortable bed, welcome fruit basket., great toiletries, big bathrobe. Can go and exercise in the gym or take a swim in the pool. The buffet breakfast was excellent as there was a great variety of food, both Asian and Western variety. You can sit indoors or outdoors and enjoy the green landscapes and clouds over the mountains . We enjoy our stay , just lazing in the room, watching people walking up and down the town center from our room balcony. We did not even have to on the air conditioner as now is the rainy season , and this is the coolest place in Vietnam that we have been so far. Near to eateries and tour agencies and just a cool 1.5 km walk from Cat Cat village or you can hired one of the motorcyclist to get you there and back.
    Great location gorgeous rooms

Located right in the middle of town this hotel has great rooms, staff and service. The rooms are large and well appointed with modern bathrooms. Although I didn't have a room with a view it was still a really nice feel to it. The breakfast was pretty good with all the usual buffet trimmings and eggs cooked to order. This hotel stands out from other hotels in Sapa as the rooms are new and clean compared to many of the other hotels of similar standard.

Booked a room here to rest in after an 18 km trek in the surrounding mountains. Our room was advertised as having a bath which sounded good for tired limbs but upon checking in there was no bath. I queried this & they told us we had been upgraded but go figure that our upgrade had no bath which is less amenities. We were then told that the original room didn't have a bath so I showed them our booking & they said that the advertising was wrong & if we didn't like our upgrade then we should check out & go elsewhere. Not friendly & well not helpful, especially after great experiences at cheaper hotels in Vietnam. Breakfast had a lot of variety &
the room we had was huge though so we could at least spread out our tired limbs. I would not stay here again & would go somewhere else instead. Handy hint is don't have a room on the 8th floor. Not only were we at the front with the hotel's lights shining in our room with barely there blinds as we went to bed but the lift ends on the 8th floor so all the hotel guests alight here to climb the steps to the 9th floor for breakfast from 6am onwards. Nobody was quiet or respectful of the guests on this floor & it was impossible to sleep!
    Nice Hotel

This hotel has a good location in Sapa but in general the service was not so outstanding. Rooms was clean but it look time to heat up the water. They need to improve breakfast selection which was a littke poor.
