Vietnam Explorer Tour - Central Highlands Hotel

We stayed here for only one night as part of our Vietnam Explorer Tour. The hotel was clean and tidy and our room was comfortable and clean.
However, we decided to use the rooftop pool and couldn't find any information in the room to advise whether we needed to take our room towels, coins for lockers or indeed any details about the pool. There was no information around the pool area either. There didn't appear to be any members of staff to advise us. We went down to reception to inquire and were told to use our room towels and then request new towels from Housekeeping for our room.
There was also conflicting information about breakfast. We had been advised at check-in that breakfast was in the 2nd floor restaurant, however, information in the lift stated that the 2nd floor area was 'Staff Only'. Reception had been correct and we ate in the restaurant there for breakfast. Breakfast was disappointing - the filter coffee was cold so we used the vending machine. The bread was dry and other food looked like it had been left out overnight.
Overall the hotel has a mixture of good and bad points so there is room for improvement.
    OK but..............

Stayed for 4 nights - Deluxe room on the 13thfloor - great city views. Desk staff speak some English so OK. Room was OK - good bed and shower and OK all round. Then the morning came and with it the bells from the church next door at 5AM!! This is then followed by prayers and chants for about an hour starting at 6AM - longer on Sunday. So an early breakfast - and more disappointment - poor fare in both local and western ranges -egg station was OK. Very little juices and fruit and really bad coffee. The local food, which we were used to, did not look any better. The last morning was better but it looked like a manager was on the floor and staff were being more attentive. I am aware this area is off the beaten track but the food was still bad. That said I am unsre if anything else is better in BMT.
    Ok for one night

Barren corridor looked more suitable for a car park then a hotel. Carpets in corridor and room badly stained. Room was OK size but some lights didn't work and air con slow to cool anything. Pool is there but you need to bring your own towels and no cushions for loungers. Staff have poor English so difficult to try and sort anything out.
Khách sạn này có dịch vụ chưa tương xứng 4 sao

Số ID: 287110851 Khi tôi check in, nhân viên tiếp tân nữ rất lãnh đạm hỏi giấy tờ, lãnh đạm đưa chìa khóa, rất không vui. Bữa ăn sáng với khăn trải bàn dơ dáy do khách trước đi mà không thay, ít đồ ăn, set up kém.
Khách sạn có thế mạnh là vị trí, tọa lạc ngay tại trung tâm, rất tiện để đi các nơi, giường gối êm ấm.
Wow this was a pleasant surprise

We booked a room on the top floor and payed the extra for a suited room, well it was more like a pent house flat, it was fantastic, lounge, huge bedroom, leading to open plan bathroom with a luxury shower, 2 toilets 2 sinks! the views of the city was from 2 aspects so it was wonderful. We stayed here 2 nights and it was brilliant. The staff were very helpful, and breakfast had a good choice. Our only negative was that it was not near any restaurants, but we asked at reception and they sent us to the square about 7 mins by taxi, where we were so happy to have a good hand full of nice restaurants to choose from.
Reasonable Hotel if your in Buon Ma Thuot

If you come to Buon Ma Thuot, maybe for business, but probably not as tourist, this was an OK hotel. Elephant rides are available out of town, but not worth the bother in my view, leave the lovely animals alone.
Say it very good among choices in Buon Ma Thuot

For a 4 stars hotel in Buon Ma Thuot, some how it is much better than the other 4 and 5 star hotel...
Although staff is so friendly but they might not useful if you need information around the town.
Saigon Ban Me is located right at the city center, near the market, restaurants and just 10km away from the airport which cost you 130,000VND for taxi fare.
    Poor State Run Hotel

Where else would you get back from a meal out to find the bar closed and padlocked at 9.30pm.
Also, arriving at 2pm having had no lunch, we found no one at the pool bar, no one in the 2nd floor restaurant, the coffee lounge had no food and we were directed to the main restaurant which was empty apart from one member of staff looking bored to tears. We managed to order some noodles but it took half an hour for them to arrive

We complained we had no kettle so one was brought together with coffee (Nescafé 3 in 1), and Green Tea. I drink black coffee without sugar so that was a no go, and there was no strainer for the tea leaves so they just floated on the top - totally undrinkable. The hotel is in the middle of Vietnam's coffee growing area - why on earth don't they have local coffee in the rooms?

The room is big enough but Insufficiently lit - it didn't help that the table lamp wasn't working. Once it went dark outside, it was impossible to read anything in the room.

All in all a complete lack of attention to detail and failure of management. One of the worst hotels I have stayed in
Saigon Banme, Bout Ma Thout March 2015

This is a 4-star hotel and the hotel itself, rooms and location is excellent. Where they are lacking is the education of some staff members, who do not seems committed to their job, and if there are many guests, they look exhausted already at 07:00. The selection of items for breakfast is on average with hotels in Vietnamese cities, however, the organization of it, is far from optimal. You definitely get some exercise, as the bread and butter is about 15 meters from the cuts one would normally use, only the cheese is within normal range. BMT is the capital of the coffee area of Vietnam and you get good coffee, but ice coffee is recommended, as it was no hot coffee - may some guests had turned off the electrical warmer! all in all a very good and perhaps the best hotel in town. Pricing seems reasonable.
    Very good Hotel

We were there for 2 nights. Room is good size, new and clean.Staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was just ok. We may went there not on high tourist season so they may cut short of staff, breakfast..
