    Excellent place

Quiet location, great friendly staff. Breakfasts as you would expect in Wietnam = ok. We stayed three nights. The room was spacious with good beds and amenities. To the city center you have 300 meters.
    Excellent hotel

My family and I stayed at Sapa Elite Hotel for 2 nights and we had a great time there.Everyone was very friendly with us.The room was very clean and we had a great view outside the window. Also, the breakfast was pretty good but I would rather to have had cold/hot milk!! I definetely recommend Sapa Elite Hotel to anyone who want to visit Sapa!!
Big disappointment after a long trip!

Before my review I have to get something out of my chest to you my friend travellers: I am SO SICK of being screwed over by these hotels...so what if the hotel is fully booked. Don't give us a dungeon room! The room we got looked NOTHING like the one we saw in trip advisor. I just felt like going home right there and then! The terrible smell of mould in room 203 was so pungent we had to spray the entire room many times. I was also concerned about my health as I am allergic. The bathroom is tiny and when you shower the entire thing gets wet. Even the toilet paper. When I asked if they had a better room the receptionist just smiled at me saying no sorry. We were changed to another much nicer room the following day at no extra charge but decided not to stay in Sapa for another night as the weather was not good.I felt like that's what they normally do as we have been through that before in another country. It would be easier for them to clean the bloody room and have satisfied guests.
Not great to say the least!

Hotel staff were not accommodating at all. Our toilet was broken and we had issues with hot water in our shower. Didn't even bother compiling due to the amount of people by the reception upset with the rooms they'd got. I guess you get what you pay for. Not the worst hotel but not the best either. I think I'll find something different on my next trip to SaPa though...
Beautiful rooms, not the warmest welcome

We arrived in Sapa on the overnight bus and so walked to the hotel at 6am from the bus, arriving at 6.30am.

I man stood smoking on the steps who worked there and smiles as we walked towards the door - which were locked. Not exactly sure why he didn't tell us this? As I rattled the door I woke the man asleep inside who I hadn't seen and at the same time a women showed up and opened the hotel.

Once inside we were told that we couldn't check in until later as their was no rooms available, completely acceptable and fair.

We were told we could go for a walk and come back later. No offer of using the shower room. No offer of breakfast. However, when asked if they had a shower room they did let use it and after asking where we could get breakfast they did offer that we could pay $4 for theirs. By that point though we decided to give our money to someone who actually seemed to want us there.

Later we met a man who I think is the manager who gave us a map and told us our options for things to do. He was much nicer and welcoming. The other staff would do well to take note.

The rooms themselves are beautiful, spaces, clean and have great views of the mountains. TV, AC and safe all good. Wifi was the worst in 3 months in Asia but you are in the mountains so probably to be expected. Our room was above the breakfast area and so really noisy in the morning - i.e. You won't sleep if a light sleeper.

Breakfast itself was ok, nothing to write home about but fine for a few days.

The location is fine for walking to the food areas, church, Cat cat village and dragon mountain. The road up the hotel in fairly steep and may be a bit much for some but to be honest if you struggle with it you probably arn't going to enjoy Sapa very much!

In summary we would stay again but would like to see a better welcome for guests paying you their hard earned money.
    Disappointing

We booked this hotel as a treat after a long trek and were disappointed. It was fairly pricey for Vietnam. The staff weren't particularly friendly. The room looked nothing like the images when we were booking. We were hoping for mountain views as in the images online but when we questioned why our room didn't have those views we were told only the suites have mountain views. They eventually moved us to a bigger room on the floor below which looked a bit more like the room we had booked. The room was rough around the edges with lots of the exposed wires and doors not closing properly. The bedding was very dirty and had some holes in it. The bed was however very comfy. The bathroom was fine and everything worked. The breakfast was also fine and had a menu that you could select hot things from as well as a fruit selection. Some of the hot options were better than others! When it came to paying, the receptionist didn't have any change and we wanted to pay in VND so instead of gong to find some change she just said she would not give us the full amount back. We were short changed by about 50p which isn't much but was a bit unprofessional.
    Incredible views and fantastic service

We stayed at the sapa elite hotel for 3 nights. For the first 2 we had a suite which was amazing value for money. Definitely the comfiest bed I slept in in Vietnam, and a rainfall shower too! The free breakfast was fine, the omelette the best option.

What really made the stay excellent was the service from reception who went above and beyond for us when we had a small passport mishap. We would like to say a big thank you to the staff for arranging a successful reunion at Lao cai against all the odds! We would have been in real trouble without you so thank you and for a wonderful stay also!
    Great hotel, great price

Got this hotel as a bargain through booking.com. Excellent staff, friendly receptionist.
Only problem was hot water not working for a period of time but at no fault of the staff.

Rooms were big and spacious, with a balcony. Heating in the room and electric blankets so you were always warm.

After coming back from trekking she (the receptionist) washed the mud of our shoes and "toasted" them near the fireplace! What service!
    Simply awful

I booked 2 rooms for our family here using their website, all looked great and they offered a free pick up from the train station - awesome
    However I was BITTERLY DISAPPOINTED!
Firstly we were not collected at the station as I'd been promised. We had to catch minibus - when we arrived at the hotel to check in, I was just told "sorry we don't do this!"
Secondly we paid 100,000 VND for a very poor small breakfast.
Thirdly and most awfully, the hotel is a noisy building site! We couldn't believe the noise and dirt everywhere! We stayed an hour and checked out to another hotel!
    Beware !!!
To top it off - the staff didn't really seem to care!
Some good, some not so good

We have just spent two nights at the Elite SaPa. We were upgraded to room 601, a suite with mountain views and views over the town. We found the bed to be softer than the usual type of mattress used in Vietman. Also, the hotel allowed us to shower after checking out following a full day of tours. The location is not bad - just a relatively short walk up the road or there is a stairway from the streets below that comes out near the hotel. So far all good things. Now for the not so good. Several lights in the room did not work and nothing was done even thought this was reported to the night staff. Yes there is construction work being carried out (this did not cause us any issues). The towels are really quite old and discoloured as well, one had a hole in it. The toilet seat was loose and the drainage in the shower was very slow. Breakfast - with a set menu was OK - but nothing special. However, having commented on these negatives, one has to take into perspective the fact that we were only paying USD 40/night for a very large room, with excellent views and somewhere to sit and relax. Hopefully, some minor improvements will see the Elite become a really good hotel. By the way, there are no lifts.
