    Most beautiful!
    |

I had been staying in HCM for a few days and passed this hotel of couple of times. It's beautiful high wooden entry doors and windows (which will not allow you to look inside) give you the feeling of a privat and exclusive club. I decided to book it as a treat to myself on my way back to Europe and I'm so happy I did. Not sure what to expect I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is decorated in Indochina style but with a modern twist, something I absolutely loved. The staff was most kind and very helpful. I was personally escorted to the room and got a tour of the newly opened property. Unfortunately I only stayed one night so I did not enjoy the rooftop pool. It looked amazing as well as the adjoining pool bar. The room I was given was just absolutely perfect, wide windows which reached the floor and gave you a spectacular view of the city. A lovely welcome treat consisting of fruits and a delicious cake/pie was in my room upon check in, a very nice touch! Breakfast was also amazing. A wide and delicious selection of local and Western cuisine which included items I do not often see on a regular breakfast buffet. To name a few; coconut muffins, carrot cake, pancakes or rather crepes served with caramel. Absolutely delicious! As the hotel was in it's soft or pre- opening fase there were only 65 rooms out of 165 (if I'm correct) available. That meant they were still busy and working hard on the other rooms and outlets of the hotel. Both the welcome letter as the letter I received during the turn down service clearly explained that the hotel was in a pre-opening fase and apologies were extended for any inconvenience this might cause. Although during the day i did hear some work being done it was not intrusive and didn't bother me. A nice gesture was that within the first 90 days of the opening all guest would receive a 60 dollar F&B credit voucher. I felt that this was most thoughtful. In short this is a beautiful hotel, with warm and professional staff in an up and coming city in South East Asia. As mentioned in another review; but i highly agree this hotel will be a signature icon! A big thank you to the staff for a most wonderful and memorable stay. This is truly one of my favorite hotels and I really hope to return in the near future.

Merci
Quaint Boutique Hotel with a difference

Hotel: The hotel is actually beside an office block that belongs to the same owner. It is built on narrow grounds, and had to make space in the air, and they did a good job with the lobby with high ceilings to compensate for lack of square footage.

Facilities: The highlight is definitely its rooftop swimming pool and dining. The infinity pool with 360 degree view of the city is fantastic especially during sunset.

Service: Very friendly staff and helpful. Always smiling and eager to please.

Meals: The breakfast buffet spread was thin, but the dishes served was good. The use of good ingredients was very apparent. Enjoyed the breakfast there, especially with the window seat looking at the morning bustling below.

Room: The rooms were meticulously designed, with the highlight definitely the huge TV that is mounted in a picture frame. The rooms are generally small but very classy and luxurious. All the amenities that is required by a traveller is made available. The housekeeping did not check the pillows, as the smell of previous guests wreaked through the pillows, not one, but all of them. Very tight toilet and bathroom, but loved the l'occitane toiletries given.
    lovely new hotel in Saigon

Having stayed at many Pullman hotels, Vie and Muse in Bangkok I decided to try the latest Accor Group property in Saigon. Such a fine property. Has the lovely touches and European elegance of other MGallery properties with a nice high tech edge and clean design. Rooftop pool is spectacular with a lovely bar for sunset cocktails. Common areas are spacious and again very well designed. Breakfast was great with perfect service. It is in a lovely location particularly if one has tired of the Riverside, Ben Thanh and Opera House areas. Lovely parks, Intercontinental Hotel and Hard Rock cafe are in this neighborhood but you are still walking distance to other major sites. My only issue, and a minor one, is I try to book on Accor (or other luxury hotel) website directly. This may cost a bit more then Expedia etc. but usually gets one a better than roh room and often an upgrade. Though my room was lovely, with a very chic design, it was on a lower floor and did not have a premium view. Accor should learn from Four Seasons, Intercontinental, Shangri la, etc. in handling repeat customers. Those hotels track my stays and preferences and generally take better care of returning customers. With Accor it is difficult to even get stay credit and I just don't bother or have time to write them for missed nights.
    Excellent Stay Good Experience

Stayed on 12th Aug night, it's a new hotel with staff yet to gain experience however the property is great with some amazing looks and high standard amenities. Conveniently located in District 3. All the best for the hotel and wish to return back soon....
Need to get the basics right
    |

Shower is not warm, even turned to the hottest side. Air con is freezing, even set to 30 C.

Staff at reception are very helpful, manager came out to greet guests. Appreciate it's newly opened with lots of things in testing mode. But shower and air con are quite basic things to get right. Not a great feeling at 11pm and no hot water for shower.

TV control was slow and there is no information either as hard copy or in the TV, about the hotel facilities. (E.g. SPA not in operation yet)

Nice decor, though. Rooftop bar looks nice.

    Great pool

Was in Hanoi for 2 nights stayed at same M gallery member Hotel de L'Opera then went to Ho chi mihn stayed here for 2 nights.
Even though it says this hotel just opened a couple of weeks ago, but the service was exellent! Not like some other hotels trying too hard, here was perfectly trained and made me feel really comfortable and relax from the second I stepped out of the taxi.
The room was spacious, nicely decorated and clean. The bed, oh, it was reaaaaally comfy!! But here I have a few suggestions for the room.
    1. It will be better has a stool or chair in the bathroom space or has a mirror on the wall at the desk so we don't have dry hair or do the make up standing the whole time...
    2. Tissue box is also better place near the bathroom base area.
    3. The small hand tower should also place near the washing base so we don't have walk to the hanger with wet hands.
    4. The matress for shower booth, whenever after the shower when I open the shower door, the bottome edge of the door hits the matress so the space in front of the shower door got very wet...

The breakfast was great! Has Pho, omelette, fresh fruits, cheese, almost everything I could imagine. Too bad I over slept on the second morning and miss it... Also the rooptop pool was gorgeous with nice bar area.

Over all, had a really nice stay here and the experience made me want to stay at other Accor group hotels next time.

This new hotel on the Saigon scene, only open a couple of weeks when we stayed, has the hallmark of becoming a serious Top 5 Saigon hotel-contender.

At the time we stayed about half of the total rooms were open with the rest to follow in the coming couple of months. The Executive Lounge hadn't yet opened and on the upper levels the Social Club: restaurant, bar and wine cellar were a work in progress and the rooftop-bar was just swinging into action.

After an initial rocky-start during check-in, the management team swung into action and more than satisfied our Accor Platinum expectations and, it must be said, that by the time we checked-out a week later, we were beginning to feel very much at home.

Overall, the management team and their staff were extremely friendly, courteous and helpful and for an hotel that opened only two weeks earlier, we were extremely impressed by their responsiveness, generosity of spirit and appetite for getting things right.

The official opening is scheduled for Oct-2015 and there is no doubt that by then, this will be a top-place to stay as the team members have been well-selected and there's great desire to get it right.

Well done Team Hotel des Arts (particularly Julie, Matthieu, Kate, Mai and Duong) and thanks for spoiling us - we truly appreciated your efforts and the quality of the offering.

    BON SUCCESS !!
small things lacking but made up for by staff recovering left items in taxi
    |

Beautiful Hotel in central Saigon with the potential to become an excellent place of abode. Unfortunately it was a soft opening which resulted in many of the facilities either not being opened or unavailable. To add to this there was also no real welcome or gift in the room as is normally the case for a Platinum Accor member, room service was also unavailable as was the Spa.

However I have to say that the stay led by Julie really went out of their way in the way of service recovery and they are to be commended for this.

Also they deserve praise for locating and recovering a pair of sunglasses and a Longines watch inadvertently left behind in a taxi on the way to the airport. On top of this they then sent the said items by courier to our next hotel in Hanoi without charging! Amazing service in this respect and the staff member who did all this deserves special praise, Julie please commend who was behind this amazing feat ;-)

The restaurant was also wonderful with a wide selection of delicious food in a relaxing and spacious setting especially the crab and oysters .

I am really looking forward to coming back here to sample the "proper" hotel when its fully opened as the recent stay really did wet my appetite to sample more.

Thank you everyone at the hotel for recovering the lost items and making my stay as enjoyable as possible. The hotel has so much potential !
