My husband and I stayed at the Cosiana Hotel for one night. The staff is super friendly. They helped us store our luggage, helped us with the tour bookings and they even left us take a showering the afternoon after checking out in the morning. Rooms are spacious and the view is amazing! Not as clean as I would like it to be, but it was ok for just one night.
    Awesome Cosiana Sapa

We are seven of us first time coming to sapa via train, we got pick up by a small bus from Lao Cai to Sapa, upon arrive the Cosiana Hotel,we were greeted by staff and was very helpful took our bags to 7th floor....wow the view was amazing, room very clean, we had the best view room 701;702,703.n 705 all the way 3d views. So we decided to have some local food for Lunch and asking the staff for menu...the boy strongly recommend SAPA local dishes..was yummy the real taste of Sapa.
The city has many nice cafe's n restaurants, nice lake and many Mong people trying to sell something small all the times but very friendly too...the trips to villages was great. The same evening we had HALAL Hotpot with Fresh Salmon Fish wow mouthwatering so fresh the vegetables are, my friends love it....
I will strongly recommend this Cosiana Hotel Sapa to all my friends.
Felt home thank you to all the staff's.
Great Stay in a Halal Hotel

My family of four stayed here from 7-9 June 2015. Not only do we love the halal food served, the rooms are comfortable, clean and cosy. We met the owner Mr James who is a humble and hospitable man. I am glad that he took effort to make a hotel serving halal food in Sapa. No regrets staying here. The view in my corner room is breathtaking too. Highly recommended
Worst place, lies on the website

We had booked a room there and when we arrived in Sapa... the hotel was 4 pillars of concrete being worked on. No sign, nothing.
    Worst moment of our trip.
The website says it was fully renovated in 2014... No. It was being renovated right in front of us. DO NOT GO to that place selling lies. Instead, we went to the Cat Cat View hotel right across the street and had a great time there.
    Way below expectations

We booked a deluxe suite with the mountain view which is supposed to have a private balcony/terrace but the balcony we had was not only tiny but had a terrible view. We paid a hefty sum for a very average "deluxe" room and the worst part is that they are currently renovating the hotel, so all we could hear was the loud drilling and hammering. If we had known, we definitely would not have stayed here. Extremely disappointed and ruined my trip to sapa.
Now known as the Hoi An Hotel

Obviously from the reviews of this place , they've completed a facelift of sorts because we actually had a really good experience here.I can only speak for our room , #402, but we peeked into the room across the hall and it looked comparable too. So, it's time to turn the page on what sounds like a troubled past because we received a very good value here.We stayed in three or four different hotels in Sapa before poking our noses into the Hoi An Hotel. From the outside it doesn’t look all that great especially compared to a lot of its flash neighbors in the $40-50 range nearby. The lobby is sort of dowdy and uninspired with daily card games that were often rowdy during our stay. But tucked away in the back of the building facing the mountains away from the noisy street are some really great rooms kitted out with new teak furniture, nice art, good beds with clean quilts and linens, TV, A/C, fridge, heater, coffeepot and a clean tiled bathroom with plenty of pressure and hot water. The ambiance is bright and airy and the rooms look out into a residential neighborhood below with small gardens and children. There wasn’t a mold/ mildew problem like a lot of hotels here have in this damp, often foggy place. The price is what sold us, pretty high caliber rooms for $15-20. We stayed almost a week. The place filled with mostly Asian clientele on the weekends but was mostly empty the rest of the time. Very peaceful. There was a young hotel tomcat that joined us in our room, a fine fellow full of play who enjoys a good snack and a pleasant nap. The wifi is spotty in the back rooms but can be picked up 30 feet down the hall and is strong in the lobby. Room # 402 ROCKS and has a small sundeck with glass sliding doors. Pass on the breakfast. Give this place a look. It has it's merits.
    Never again

Pros: nice view over the Mountains.
Well located. More or less friendly staff.

Cons: rooms in horrible shape, mouldy, wet, and loud because of renovation.
Never ate such disgusting food before.
Bathrooms were a mess, dirty is Understatement.

    AVOID THIS HOTEL!!!!!
Just a cheap & bad guesthouse

I was there on April 2011. (Cannot choose this date from the box bellow.)
Pros: Near Cat cat village (a tourist attraction). Quite good view from the window. There's a valley near this hotel.
Cons: Dirty old room. They dinn't clean my room everyday. Furnitures are old. Dirty toilet as well.
We booked this room as suggestion from the bus driver. As we reached sapa in very early morning, we decided to choose this.
    Will not return.
