    Soulless Rooms and Too-Eager Staff

It's lovely to come into the lobby of this place from outside, as the ai conditioning is a welcome respite from the heat of the street. But the bellboy is on you like a shot. I'm sure he's doing his job the way they tell him to, but it's a bit overbearing. The room was tiny, but at least the air conditioning was up to the job, and there's a massive fan on the wall, too. Noisy, but necessary. But the rooms.. no windows. What's that about? Is this the norm in SE Asia? Very strange. The linen was clean, the shower was very powerful, and we only got bitten by one mosquito. Three stars out of five.
    Great place to stay.

This was our last hotel on a ten day tour of Vietnam . Awesome location and friendly, helpful staff who speak good English. The rooms are basic and have a slight musty smell because there are no windows but the linen is clean and the water pressure is great.

Our group moved from cambodia tourist interpid company, hotel security guards they welcomed us with wonderful water with free city maps when we started to the hotel, they do the very specific professional guidance and reminding us about safety issues when outside. My room was spacious because they upgraded me to luxury suites, rooms with large windows and spacious bath, very clean. very close to the terminal market you can easily visit many places from the hotel. we're quite pleased and would recommend you do go this trip.
    A very concerning stay

Myself and some friends checked in at the same time, but their room was available first, so they allowed me to use the shower and bathroom to freshen up as I was going on a tour and couldn't get into my room until much later. What I experienced was quite concerning.

While having a shower, the water in the shower pipe appeared to be interfering with a light that was directed above the nozzle. It flickered while I had the shower and even turned off while the water was still running. When the shower was turned off, the light turned back on. This is a grave concern. I was so worried about being electrocuted!!!!

The bath (shower over bath) also had no plumbing and the water ran straight from the bath, flooding the floor and eventually down the floor waste pipe. This was such a risk to human life - water on the floor and in the shower which was interfering with electricity!!

When I eventually checked into my room, there appeared to be no interference with electricity, but there was still no plumbing from the bath/shower and the water flooded the floor each time I had a shower.

Room-wise, it was basic but ok and furniture was put throughout the stairwell as explained previously. Location was reasonable.

Due to the substandard plumbing/electricity, I would deem this hotel unacceptable and would not stay there again nor recommend it to anyone!!
    Ok for a budget hotel

We stayed here for two nights.
Although our room was tiny and had no window I thought the hotel was ok. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. We couldn't really ask for more for the price we paid and weren't in the hotel during the day so the lack of window did not really matter.
The hotel is located about a 10-15 minute walk away from the central part of town but we felt perfectly safe walking at night (crossing the road was interesting!) and it gave us the opportunity to soak up the atmosphere of this wonderful city.
I think this hotel is fine, it did it job, we slept well and the staff were friendly.
    Wouldn't stay again

We were on a basic tour so expected basic rooms, but we weren't too impressed with the standard of cleanliness here - the sheets and towels were stained and there was a lot of dust/debris under the bed. The corridors were cluttered and smelt unpleasant. The air con didn't work (to be fair we didn't complain as we were only staying one night and we had a fan, so that wasn't too bad). You can get better in HCMC for similar prices.
    Small but decent hotel

The hotel has a good location within busy Saigon because it is so close to ATM's, local cafe's and restaurants and the main indoor market, which turns into a night market outside on the streets, late at night. Although it is a small hotel with small rooms that have no windows, the rooms were clean and adequate, however the showers were a bit dodgy and wouldn't stay on the wall. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a good introduction to Vietnam.
    Not so good

We were on a budget tour so didn't expect first class accomodation but the tour began here and we were quite concerned as to what we had gotten ourselves in for when we got here. Thankfully this was the worst of our accomodation to come. From the outside and reception area it looks promising, but not so. The room was soooo small, dingy and musty smelling and had no window. We had to keep the bathroom door closed as the smell that came from the drain was revolting. I gave it an extra star cause it was in a good location and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
    Good location but that's all

I'm not sure if I would stay here again but for it's location I might. It's a 3 star budget hotel conveniently located on Le Thanh Ton street which is a short walk to Ben Thanh market. There's loads of restaurants and cafes nearby and a mini mart next door. There's also an ATM in front of the hotel. The room is clean, however very small and no window. I stayed in a double room with two single beds and there's just enough space for your backpack. Bed is comfy and bathroom quiet spacious. Go figure. The hotel lift is also really tiny which was a little claustrophobic. I did see one of my friends room, a couple and they had a much spacious room and a window! Also ask for a non-smoking room if you're a non-smoker as originally they offered me a smoking room and the whole floor stank. They have free wi-fi and the staff are quiet friendly.
    Not great

Came with Intrepid, and as it's a budget tour I wasn't expecting too much, I'm used to and happy with basic facilities.
That said.... The air con is on.. And you can't change it without getting reception to throw a breaker switch. Fine. However the stairs, the only fire exit, are cluttered all the way down six floors with furniture, fold away beds, rubbish bags, the cleaning carts, staff eating their meals. If there was a fire people wouldn't be able to evacuate in time. Based on this I would not recommend this hotel.
