    Stylish, colonial hotel

Gorgeous stylish hotel with elegant rooms, dark panelled wood floors, and an amazing view overlooking the Mekong Delta, that looked timeless. Friendly staff, lovely outside restaurant overlooking the river.
From the hotel, we took the speedboat up to Phnon Penh, which was a great way to travel. Top tip - take some ear-plugs!

Good laundry service, offering a full bag of laundry for a single fixed price.
Great hotel at a great price

We traveled by vehicle after a cruise on Mekong Eyes on the Mekong. The hotel looks small from the front but once inside it has old world charm. Great pool and great views.

The lift has to be the smallest I have ever been in but is no problem. Room was large, great aircon and we had a balcony view over looking the Mekong.

Had dinner in the Bassat Restaurant and highly recommend it as the food was great. Breakfast provided in the same restaurant and was outstanding. Service was impeccable and friendly.

We also arranged for a speed boat to Phnom phen, which picked us from the hotel.
    Highly recommended

Firstly, the road to Chau Doc is horrendous! A trip 0f about 120ks took over five hours, however we made a couple of stops, one at a local market that had trays piled with fried tarantulas. Although I was offered a taste, I passed on that. We were also taken to a bridge, that has been Heritage listed and is very ancient( sorry I have forgotten the name and age) When we arrived at the Victoria, again a welcome cool drink and taken to our rooms. Again these were large, cool and very clean. The food was Vietnamese ,enjoyable and plenty of it. We visited a local business, where vermicelli is made. Three of us had the soup, but one had a vermicelli pizza, when it arrived, we all looked at it and said," Wish I'd ordered that". I highly recommend this dish. We were to visit the wild bird sanctuary, but after the 800m walk, then a boat ride and another 180m walk, we skipped the sanctuary, especially after again, not being able to eat the food at the "restaurant" (not recommended at all) As the birds were another walk and we had all lost interest.
    great hotel

My partner and I only stayed for 1 night on our way to Cambodia. What a lovely hotel with it's colonial style. Overlooking the river, a perfect setting for our dinner out on the terrace. Breakfast was also good. Wish we had another day or 2. Would recommend this hotel

We arrived as a family of 4 from Can Tho by taxi for 4 hours ( only 117km but they are building a new road) so was a haven to enter into the Victoria- beautiful architecture and staff service. We just wished we had stayed longer than 12 hours! The most fantastic view over the river junction. We felt as though we could have been back in the 1930's - lovely! Breakfast great , pool great.
We weren't able to get on Blue Cruises ( said they weren't running but they were on Dock the next morning?) we went at twice the price with Victoria with 1 other family - a 12 seater and had a great easy calm trip to Phnom Phen so was very very enjoyable and the border crossing ( 2 stops) was very calm.
We plan to visit the Victoria again in the future and spend a little longer and still take the cruise to Cambodia. Thank you
    Lovely riverside hotel and bar

We didn't stay at the hotel however we spent a delightful afternoon drinking gin and tonic and watching the ever changing river scenery. The atmosphere is very "James Bond" and it is a lovely place to spend an afternoon or longer. The service was attentive and friendly without being invasive, the gin and tonic was excellent, peanuts and nibbles a nice touch and the cocktails were ok (We had Mai Tais). Next time I'm back I will definitely treat myself to this hotel.
    Very Good!

We stayed 1 night at this hotel as included accommodation after a cruise from Long Xuyen City. We were both very surprised how nice the hotel was. Fantastic views over the water. Well-priced restaurant with fantastic food for dinner. Great breakfast. Very comfortable bed. Quiet rooms.
The most lovely charming friendly hotel

We stayed I night in this hotel and we have also stayed in one of the other hotels in the group in can tho - they are beautifully furnished in a colonial style but have all the mod cons too. Wifi is free throughout. Service is great even the peanuts with your drinks are served in a stylish way. The room we had over looked the Bassac river which feeds into the Mekong. I could have watched the busy waterway below for hours. We ate a lovely dinner on the outside terrace which was magical. I wanted a meal from the bar menu while my wife wanted from the restaurant - they were extremely accommodating and we had the food we wanted - great service. Breakfast was a massive spread and again more excellent service. We even went into Chau Doc to see some of the town which you can easily walk along the river. If only we could have stayed longer. We took the hotel boat up the Mekong river- it was one of the highlights of our trip.
France meets Vietnam on the border

A touch of French luxury on the Vietnam-Cambodia border. Who would have expected to find such a treat on the Mekong. Good pool overlooking the river - a grand vista: sipping cocktails watching the world slowly drift by! Excellent food with the best bread we tasted since leaving Australia weeks ago - the pastries are absolutely divine. Quiet and discreet service by all staff. After dinner, the General manager came by to inquire if we were satisfied with our meal - a nice touch.
