We had a beautiful and very spacious room, actually really could be a suite as it had a big lounge area. Service was brilliant, even meal on the terrace around the fountain , plenty of choices available.
    A gem

Stayed for three nights; could have stayed three weeks. We loved the old world charm. The most relaxing place to stay and location was perfect. The view from our room was great; overlooking the river.
    Very satisfied

I stayed for 2 nights at this beautiful hotel with colonial style in Hue. Property is on a very good shape and service is very professional. Breakfast was included and a vast amount of local options were available to enjoy Vietnamese food. I will come back on my next visit to Hue.
    Lovely Hotel

I normally like to stay 5* or in the best hotel possible in a town, however after being disappointed earlier in the year with high end hotel I decided to try cheaper hotels and am so pleased that I did.

The hotel's pickup at the airport was friendly and efficient. We had a glitch when taken to our room as I had organised a mattress topper on the bed and while it was confirmed that the hotel supplied them it turned out the person I was emailing did not know what a mattress topper was. The male reception person who took us to our room soon organised for extra doonas to be placed on the mattress. He turned out to be a gem, we like to read the newspapers and as soon as the new paper arrived he brought it to our room, nothing was too much trouble for him.

Breakfast is held in a serene garden area, so nice to see greenery after high rise hotels. The breakfast was good, especially the apple danishes, good coffee in the pot that they brought around.

The room was very large and I think that we may have received an upgrade as we had a view of the river and bridge although I had booked the cheapest room.

All in all I would stay here again, lovely hotel, good friendly staff and the hotel is in a good position
Beautiful hotel with best breakfast buffet!!

This was a beautiful hotel and well preserved. The rooms were spacious, modern, and beautiful. Complimentary fruit was in the room upon check-in. Prices were very, very reasonable especially compared to the United States. For about $110, we had complimentary breakfast, free massage for two people, free city tour, and a free multi-course dinner (I lost count at the 5th course). The breakfast was amazing in terms of its variety (many selections both western/asian) and flavor. We left early in the morning and the hotel was kind enough to pack a breakfast to go (they gave us a banh mi sandwich, fruit, and eggs but you can request what you want). Highly, highly recommend this hotel. Location was great too.
    Wonderful experience

My wife and I stayed at the Saigon Morin for two weeks in August and enjoyed every minute. The hotel has a charm and stature that is rarely found in modern hotels. The staff were wonderful, our room spacious with a view over the river. Breakfast was excellent. My only concern was that the pool is over 2 metres deep at the deep end, a bit of a worry for an older traveller. Apart from that minor issue I have nothing but praise for the hotel and would recommend it to anyone visiting Hue.
    A Colonial Gem

The Hotel Saigon Morin has been in business since 1901, and I think I can see why. I have a soft spot for these types of accommodations. They evoke a time and place in ways that newer hotel could never hope to emulate. It seems to me that the Saigon Morin is doing almost everything right.

We strolled in to a gorgeous marble lobby with a large shady courtyard by a fountain out back and an inviting pool. Nice. We checked into an enormous Premium River Deluxe Family Room with 3 beds, dark wood floors and a splendid view of the Perfume River. The glass elevators on the back side were sort of Charlie and Chocolate factory like. The reception staff was helpful and pleasant, breakfast was excellent and nice by the fountain, and the pool was refreshing after a long day at the Tombs.

The location by the Perfume River is pretty perfect and it was fun walking around exploring from here in the early morning. Would have like to have tried the spa, but ran out of time. All in all, a great stay.
Nice Hotel but the main bar was closed everynight.

We stayed in Hue form 3 nights and found the hotel to ok. My girlfriend really didn’t warm to it, however we slept the best of anywhere in Vietnam, and all the staff were very pleasant. On request the hotel car collected us from the train station, whist you pay a premium for this it takes all the hassle out of get ripped off in a local cab. We booked an unguided tour through the hotel that also was very good, this involved the hotel car driving us from sight to sight, ideal if you want to do your own thing. Breakfast had a huge choice but wasn’t very exciting, the only thing that I'm marking the hotel down on was that on each of our 3 nights the Panorama Bar was closed for a private function, as our room had no view we wanted to use the 3rd floor bar to get a view. I think to stay for a night is fine but I felt it was a bit soulless for me despite its colonial appearance and history.
    Nice place hotel for stay

I was especially impressed by the staff on our last morning: we had to leave at 4.00am to make a flight at Da Nang (two hours away), and the staff were available at that time, helpful and affable. They also provided us with a very full packed breakfast to take with us - most impressive…
    Elegant colonial style

A lovely hotel with huge well equipped rooms, a beautifully maintained courtyard and pool and excellent service. The breakfast is very good and is served outside in the courtyard. Sitting around the fountain surrounded by trees and plants makes a lovely start to the day, it's also equally nice at the other end of the day with a beer in hand. In the evening listen out for the little frogs that inhabit urns filled with water, it sounds like they're barking at each other!
