    Very good hotel

A bit outside the city centre - about 10 minutes by cab, but all the cabs are very cheap (£2-3). Use Vinasun cabs - they are efficient and cheap and always on the meter.
The hotel also runs a free shuttle bus into the centre every couple of hours.
There is not much in the immediate area but the hotel is connected to a shopping centre which has a few food options in the top floor food court - KFC etc.

Very comfortable, most comfortable bed we slept in during our Vietnam holiday.
Got a bit of a business feel, but still definitely OK as a tourist hotel.
Great choice at breakfast. Swimming pool area a bit sterile but guests can also use the steam room / sauna in the spa which is well appointed.
Go for a room on the upper floors - they have great views over the city.

They stored our luggage as we stayed with Nikko at the start and end of our holiday.

Very good 5 star hotel - only issue is they charge for a child bed in the room, which is not included as standard, so make sure your agent includes this when you book.
Great service from all of the staff

It was a short weekend getaway in Saigon and we are glad to have stayed at this hotel. All the staff are friendly and helpful. Very stylish hotel and the rooms are clean. They recommended a great tour company as well and replied very promptly to email.
Beautiful hotel, view, amenities, not exactly centrally located, but that's necessarily a bad thing...

Checked into this hotel a few days into an emotional return to Saigon. It was exactly what I needed: luxury. Some upfront advice, splurge and upgrade to the club/executive level rooms. You'll get a private, expedited check-in process, and access to the executive lounge on where the views are spectacular, and so are the snacks and beverages.

The room was spacious, clean, and modern with a large picture window overlooking the city. Japanese style toilet with the latest gadgetry (in the U.S., "toilet" and "gadgetry" don't usually go together), and a separate shower and tub, were all quite clean and welcoming. In fact, I hadn't taken a bath in years, but that bathtub was just calling my name.

Food was excellent, not exceptional, but definitely above average. I didn't get the seafood buffet, but I did hear that it ranks among the best, even though it seems quite pricey, especially for being in a city where you can consistently get excellent seafood for far less than the USD 50 per person price.

I really enjoyed the location, but if you're looking for something where you can easily walk out the front door and hit the major attractions, this hotel is not it. However, there is complimentary shuttle service that takes you to all those areas so this is a major plus.

Would I stay here again? Definitely. I plan to return with my family next summer and will most likely book this hotel.
Great service, but breakfast is too expansive

Most of the guests at the Nikko hotel are business travelers, which affects the atmosphere of the hotel. We still had a great time: staff is super-friendly, the rooms have a beautiful design.

The pool isn't unfortunately that great, it reminded by a little bit of a Soviet war memorial. Also, the breakfast is much too expansive in comparison to other hotels in Hoh Chi Minh City.
    Clean and good

Was on business for one night, the hotel is good for business.
Well appointed rooms, good WIFI, friendly staff and helpful too.
Breakfast was lavish, but I stayed with my fruits some bread, juice and coffee.
Good room amenities, nothing to say negative about.
Thoroughly liked staying, will sure recommend other business visitors to stay here.
    Clean and comfortable.

A good choice for businessmen or families to stay when visiting Vietnam. Location is decent but more importantly you are ensured a clean and comfy room to rest in. There is also a Japanese restaurant within which serves good Japanese food. If you care on spending on comfort and are within budget, this is a splendid choice. - dp
    Very good

Stayed here for 5 nights whilst on a business trip. Rooms were nice and of Japanese styling. The roof top swimming pool was very nice and so was the food ordered in the hotel. The bar is a little too quiet for my taste but the location of the hotel and cheap taxi's mean that good bars are not far away.

A pretty quality service. Fully equipped rooms airy, attentive staff, strong wifi, great bathroom, without any noise that affects you, if you want a scenic high room or the option will Sightseeing are branches of the night you will not regret coming here

    Good choice in HCM

I have been to HCM many times for business, and after trying several hotels have settled on the Nikko. Stylish, great service, and a nice place to return after a busy and often hot! day in factories. Good breakfast buffet. In comparison to the other places I've stayed also represents great value for money.
Good Japanese restaurant as you would expect, however food court with espresso coffee just next door.
